This policy describes how ifigosilent (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, real-time matching, video/chat features, and optional paid options. It is meant to be read together with our Terms of Service, Community guidelines, and Cookie notice. By using the service, you acknowledge this policy.
The service is strictly for individuals who are at least 18 years old. Do not use the service if you are under 18.
This section answers the most common questions for a video and chat product. If we introduce new recording, monitoring, or analytics features that materially change practices, we will update this policy and the “Last updated” date.
When you enable your camera or microphone, audio and video typically travel directly between browsers using WebRTC or similar peer-to-peer technology, without our servers acting as a live relay for that media in the ordinary case. We operate infrastructure for signaling, presence, and matching (for example helping browsers negotiate a session).
We do not operate the service as a default “recording studio” for your live calls. We do not routinely make, store, or sell full-length recordings of your random video sessions for replay on our platform. If we ever offer an optional, clearly labeled recording or clipping feature, it would be governed by its own in-product disclosure and consent flow.
Parts of the experience may download short non–user-generated clips (for example search-state or placeholder loops) from our servers or CDN. Those files are separate from your live camera feed. See our Terms (third-party / illustrative media) for ownership and takedown context.
When chat is available, messages may be sent over a peer-to-peer data channel when the connection supports it. In some cases, short-lived server-side relay or signaling helpers may be used so messages can reach the other party—for example with strict TTLs and size limits—so content may exist transiently in server memory or short-term stores while being delivered.
Large or binary attachments may be encoded for transport; treat anything you send as visible to your matched partner and potentially subject to abuse reports or lawful disclosure if required.
We may derive approximate location signals (for example country or city region) from IP-based estimates or browser APIs to improve matching, fraud prevention, billing region hints, or aggregate reporting. We aim to avoid exposing precise street-level location to other users in the product experience; see our Terms for how partner-facing location is limited.
Depending on how you use the site, we and our subprocessors may process the following categories:
Like most websites, our servers and vendors may generate logs (for example web server access logs, error logs, or application logs) that can include IP addresses, user agents, URLs, timestamps, and HTTP status information. We use logs for security, debugging, capacity planning, and legal compliance.
We may also use first-party or server-side analytics (for example page views, scroll depth, or coarse engagement signals) to understand how the product is used in aggregate. See our Cookie notice for browser storage and similar technologies.
We may monitor for abuse signals (rate limits, anomaly detection, reports from users) and preserve records where needed to investigate violations or respond to lawful requests.
Where GDPR-style rules apply, we generally rely on contract performance (providing the service you request), legitimate interests (securing and improving the platform, fraud prevention, analytics in aggregate), and legal obligation (for example responding to valid legal process). Where consent is required for a specific processing activity, we will seek it separately (for example for certain cookies or marketing, if offered).
We use information to: operate matching and real-time features; personalize eligible experiences; process payments and prevent fraud; maintain safety and integrity; measure performance; comply with law; and communicate important notices about the service. We also use information to detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, and to cooperate with law enforcement when legally required.
We and our service providers may use cookies, similar technologies, and browser storage (such as localStorage) for essential operation, preferences, analytics, and security. See our Cookie notice for more detail.
We may share information with vendors that help us host, secure, operate, or analyze the site (for example infrastructure, payment processors, or email delivery), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information in the conventional sense of selling mailing lists for unrelated third-party marketing.
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, subject to technical backups and legal holds. Short-lived relay or signaling artifacts are designed to expire quickly where feasible. Aggregated or de-identified statistics may be kept longer.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; live interactions carry inherent personal risk that we cannot fully eliminate.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing, to object to certain uses, or to port data. To exercise applicable rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your request. You may also control some preferences through in-browser settings (for example clearing storage), understanding that may affect matching or paid entitlements tied to your device.
If you access the service from outside the country where servers are located, your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy where permitted by law.
For privacy-related questions or requests (including data rights and security reports), use our contact form or other official contact options published on ifigosilent.com.
